There is this new site to promote handmade artists called ByHand.me. It is a wonderful community. I found about it through my website on Artfire. You have a blog, clubhouses, spotlights (like etsy treasuries) and forums.
I didn't realize that I was getting much exposure on the site until a Google Alert for my full name popped up for a tutorial that I wrote that I posted. ReplyDeleteSimple to explain. I did a BlogLines search on BlogPosts of written jewelry tutorials. Searched within hours of the ByHand posting so it popped up at the top. Sorry that I didn't link through.
I write about crafts (and gardening) twice a week at BlogHer and I'm always searching the great crafty blog posts.
I joined a couple weeks ago but haven't taken the time yet to really participate yet. I guess I'll have to get more involved!
